PIVOT FITNESS Child Safety and Childcare Policies
CHILD SAFETY: Our gym is full of equipment and a gymnastic apparatus which can be dangerous to children of any age. So, for their safety and the safety of others, no child under the age of 14 is permitted to touch or utilize the gymnastics apparatus or any other equipment within the gym, regardless of whether they are supervised by an adult. Please do not let your children use or play with any equipment, the gymnastic apparatus or items attached to the gymnastic apparatus. Their use of the same is unauthorized by Pivot and shall occur with your express acknowledgment and assumption of the risk of serious injury or death which may arise out of or result therefrom.
CHILDCARE: During class periods, no child under the age of ten (10) may be left unsupervised within the gym area but must, instead, be placed within the segregated childcare area. The gym will provide childcare supervision during the 8:15am, 9:30am, 4:00pm and 5:15pm class periods.
During the 8:15 AM and 9:30 AM class periods, you must sign your child(ren) into the segregated childcare area and sign them out upon your retrieving your child(ren). If a person is to pick-up your child(ren) while you are on the premises, the child will not be released without your signing the child out to the third-person, yourself.
Pivot is not a registered or licensed daycare facility but simply offers child-care as a service to its members. No such registration or license is required since parents/guardians are required to remain on the premises at all times that childcare is provided to their children and since the children can be seen at all times.
Please bring diapers (disposable only) and at least one change of clothes for infants and toddlers, as well as children who are still in potty-training. Diapers and a change of clothes will not be provided by Pivot and soiled clothes without provided change or clothes will require discharge of your child from the childcare room notwithstanding whether you have completed your exercise class.
Please do not bring children who do not feel well, or who are actually sick. If your child was discharged from school due to illness, then the child is too ill to be placed into our childcare room the same day. If we feel a child is ill or if your child vomits or has diarrhea on the Premises, we must require you to remove the child from daycare. Symptoms such as flu, pink eye, colored/thick runny noses, fevers, vomiting, rashes, diarrhea, or cold-like symptoms can be highly contagious. Please respect this rule - one child can infect many healthy children and adults.
Pivot does not provide snacks for children in the childcare room. Please do not bring nuts of any kind, or food items that contain nuts of any kind (including peanut or almond butter, e.g.) as a snack for your child since it is possible a child within the same room may have a severe nut allergy.
Thank you for your understanding and your membership. Pivot Fitness
